I am a big fan of turning old things into new things without taking away its character. One of my favorite things is antiques so almost weekly I go to a small antique shop on Broad Street in Grove City. The owner and I have become friends over the past year and a half and even when I redirect our conversation to her and her life she turns it right back around and continues inquiring about any of my new find, ideas, or life updates. Although we usually talk about me, through her character, our common interest in antiques and our conversation I feel that I have really been able to get to know her.
Moving on to the project :) One day at the beginning of last semester, I came across a box of square quilt pieces and immediately wanted to have them... not knowing what in the world I would do with them. A couple weeks later I found this old suitcase, and once I saw it I knew exactly what to do with the fabric squares and who to give it to! This was a birthday present for Jordan's sister, Kelsi, back in November but plan on doing many more like it :)
Quilted Suitcase
Antique Suitcase $15
Fabric Squares $3
Use Mod Podge to adhere the fabric squares onto the surface of the suitcase and
arrange the fabric squares in a pattern.
An adorable and functional suitcase :) I love it.
