3 more days and I am halfway done with college. I am pretty burned out and definitely ready for summer and sunshine. Usually going antique shopping or thrift shopping is my stress reliever but this week has been so busy there has been no time to take the trip down to Broad Street, so instead I did some crafting.
Last time I went to Thrifty Threads I picked up a few belts. Some were classy, some were basic, but this one that I used was fun, summery colors. This kind of belt I probably would not know how to pull off, but I realized it would make for a pretty cute bracelet!
This D.I.Y. is perfect for belts that don't fit or are broken!
Materials:
Super Glue
Scissors
Belt
Clip
Wrap the belt around the middle of your arm to create a comfortable bracelet that will slip over your hand. After measuring out how long it will need to be, add a 1/2 inch for when you super glue the ends together.
Cut the length that you will need and make sure that you can fit your hand through the bracelet.
Apply super glue to the 1/2 inch you added at the end.
Use a clip to hold the overlapped ends together. I left my bracelet like you see above over-night and it was completely dry by the morning.
Hope you liked this D.I.Y.!
Let me know what you think :)

super cute idea! I must try it out!
ReplyDeleteThere are always so many belts at goodwill and now I will be looking at them with a new perspective (Bracelets!)
