DIY Studded Vest

Say hello to my new favorite accessory... my personally studded vest!

Vest #1 was purchased at Thrifty Threads in Grove City, PA & Vest #2 was purchased at Goodwill near Smith Mountain Lake, VA for very cheap.

Materials:
Brads or Studs
Vest/Denim

Vest #1

With this vest, since it is kind of cropped, I decided to stud only the top. I focused around the collar, trying to make it as symmetrical as possible on both sides. If you do not have studs or do not want to purchase them using brads is a great option! You can find them in the office supply section of most stores.

In order to use the brads, you have to use a pin or exacto-blade to cut through the fabric, because the brad will not be strong enough to push through the denim. once pushed in, fold the edges over tightly. Continue in whatever pattern you choose and your done!

Vest #2 

For this vest, I used pyramid studs that easily poked through the denim and was a quick way to jazz it up. Before I studded the vest, I made sure to lay it out the way I wanted it to make sure that had the right spacing.
