Wood Redo #2
After doing the first wood redo by transferring the font over, I was inspired to do some more things with the wood I found in my garage. Usually when I make things like this, I almost always give them to Jordan. Mainly because I like making him things, but I also know he will appreciate it. His birthday was last week so over my spring recess while I was home at the beginning of the month, I decided to make him this piece of wood with where I am from (Virginia), where he is from (Maryland) and where we met (Grove City, PA). Although it may seem super cheesy to some, I think it is a cute idea and is very personal and easy.
I hope you like it!
Materials:
Wood
Printer
Mod Podge
Paint Brush
Scissors
To start, find a piece of wood of any size. The larger the wood, the larger the maps can be. Next, find the state maps that you are looking for. There are many different styles of maps to choose from. Here are the 3 that I chose...

| Maryland |
Using scissor or an Exacto-blade, cut out the individual state maps as detailed as you would like. Lay them out on your piece of wood before you start gluing them on. Personally could not fit the whole state of PA on my piece of wood so I just ended up cutting out Grove City in the shape of a heart.
Apply a coat of Mod Podge to the piece of wood and place your map cutouts onto the wood, making sure there are no bubbles and it lies flat. Then apply another coat of Mod Podge on top of the maps and wood to seal it.
The end!
Before and after :)
