I have recently been going to a glass dump in Grove City, where people would put all of their glass until we started recycling glass in the 1970's. The bottles I find here are so unique and I feel like each one has a story. Usually after I clean them out pretty good with some bleach mixed with warm water I like to give them new life!
Here is one way to use an old bottle or jar that you have lying around!
This is one of the easiest and cutest crafts I have done on my blog so far :)
Hope you like it!
Materials
Jar or Bottle
Spray Paint (Whatever color you want)
Hot Glue Gun
Sharpie
1. Clean your jar or bottle.
2. Use Sharpee to write your word on it!
I decided to write "save" because I wanted mine to be a bank. It is completely up to you what you write and the font you use!
3. Hot glue over the sharpie, trying to keep the thickness of the glue even.
3. Set up a place to spray paint. I would recommend spraying on a paint "drop" cloth or outside in the grass so you don't get it on anything important.
4. Give the jar a few coats of paint (until you can't see through it) and let it dry over night.
Here is my finished jar on my new bookshelf!
