DIY Studded Sweater

Recently I have been trying to branch out of basic pieces and trying to go for statement pieces or subtle details that makes something unique. Not that I don't love the look of classy and clean pieces but sometimes you just need something extra. But of course It is way more fun to do it yourself than to buy it that way so I took an old sweater and studded it on the shoulders to make it a unique piece in my wardrobe.

Materials:
Sweater
Brads (from office supply section/store)

I aligned my brads in 6 rows, about 1/4 inch apart on all sides and covered just the shoulders. This DIY is pretty self-explanatory because all you have to do it poke the brad through and open either sides like you would with a bunch a papers.

You can add more brads or do a different design or do a t-shirt instead - whatever you want!

I would recommend on the inside of your sweater or shirt you iron on a piece of felt or fabric so that the backs of the brads do not get stuck on anything or irritate your skin.

*I would recommend hand-washing this piece because it is fragile.

Here is how I wore it:

Red pants: Pac Sun
Combat Boots: Bass Pro Outlet

Have a wonderful Friday!
