Get ready. I am about to reveal to you one of my favorite places to find D.I.Y. inspiration!
They have amazing graphic tees and the style of clothing is very casual and comfortable! The company is based in CA and there are no Brandy stores near where I live so I just make the clothes I like. This ends up being cheaper and way more fun anyways!
So today I am going to show you how I made my own moon phase shorts which are inspired from the BM tank and these shorts I found online. Here we go :)

Materials:
Black pants or shorts
White Paint
Something circular (bigger than a quarter)
Pencil
Paintbrush
1. Pick which pocket you want your design to be on.
2. Take your circular item (mine is the inside of a tape dispenser) and draw 9 circles using a pencil. I used a pen that I couldn't erase... so I'm hoping that will wash out.
3. Begin painting the phases of the moon in the circles using white paint. Start with less paint and add more because you can always go back and make the phase transitions more smooth.
4. Here is my finished pocket! As you can see, the pattern overlapped the end of the pocket but it is not a big deal at all.
Here is how I styled them!
White v-neck
Black, studded combat boots
DIY moon phase shorts
Flannel
Don't forget that you can wear your shorts into fall by pairing them with tights!
Hope you enjoyed :)
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations,
forever and ever, Amen.”
