DIY Ric-rac Pillow

Say hello to the cheapest pillow project you can find.

This year, I decided that I wanted a new plain, white bed spread that I could jazz up with fun pillows for my dorm. I am not about to spend even $15 dollars on a pillow so I decided to dress up one from Ikea.

Materials:
Pillow
Ric-rac
Thread/Needle (color of the ric-rac)

IRMA Cushion IKEA

Ric-rac - Can be found at any local craft store!
Usually sold in a roll or by the yard.

Ric Rac comes in many different sizes, but I decided that I wanted to just do one strip of thick, black ric-rac vertically down the side of my pillow. This is where you can get creative with how many pieces of ric-rac, colors, width, etc.

Measure out the ric-rac to fit the length of the pillow.

Cut the ric-rac and thread the needle with a color thread that matches the ric-rac.

Sew a horizontal line at the base of the ric-rac too start with a strong hold. Then sew vertical stitches to the top and sew another horizontal line at the top.

The end :)
